Der Schmuggler |
The smuggler |
|
An die Grenze kam ein Mann mit einem Fahrrad. Hinten auf dem Fahrrad
lag ein großer Sack. |
From over the border a man on a bycicle arrived. Just right
behind him was a big sack full of sand. "What do you have in it?"
asked the Officer. "Sand", answered the man briefly. The Officer
didn't want to believe that but he really didn't find anything other than
sand. He let the man pass. What else could he have done? Everyday the man arrived on his bycicle and his sack, and everyday the Officer examined him and found only sand. One week later the Officer ran out of patience and when the man arrived, he said: "Listen! I know you're a smuggler. I'll let you pass this time only if you tell me what you're smuggling". "Okay, I'll tell you, but first let me pass the border" said the Man. The officer allowed him to pass, and as the man crossed over the border he said: "I smuggle bycicles!" |
